Lion Suzy Stathas served as Distirct 35-R Governor from 2007-2008.
She became a Lion in the fall of 1997 and has achieved 100% attendance as
a member of the 4L’s Lions Club since 1998. She has served as 2 terms as
Club President, and also as Vice President, Membership Chair, Sight First
Chair, PR Director, Bulletin Editor, Tailtwister and Club Director. She currently
serves as Club Tailtwister.
Lion Suzy has served 2 terms as Zone Chair and has served as Zone Tailtwister.
She has served as Cabinet Secretary, District Sight First/Sight Conservation
Chair, District Directory Chair, District Leadership Chair, and Protocol
Officer. She served as advisor for 3 Past District Governors. She served
for 3 years as Campaign Sight First II Group Coordinator. She served as District
R and as District I PDG Association President. She currently serves as District
Advisor and District Bulletin Contest Chair.
Lion Suzy has served as Multiple District Sight First/Sight Conservation
Chair, Blue Ribbon Redistricting and Transition Committee Chair, MD-35 Convention
Coordinator, C & BL’s Chair, Protocol Officer, MD-35 Chaplain, Bulletin/Newsletter
Contest Chair and as MD-35 First Lady. She currently serves as a member of
the MD-35 GLT team.
She has coordinated and instructed Leadership, Zone Chair, President, Protocol,
and Tailtwister classes for District R and District I and for MD-35. She
has also instructed incoming Multiple District Officers and 2nd Vice District
Governors.
Lion Suzy is a Certified Guiding Lion. She has received several awards including
100% President, President’s and Governor’s Appreciation Pins, 5 Golden Chains,
Anchor Award, Helen Keller Award, 4 International President’s Certificates
of Appreciation, 2 MD-35 Sight Conservation Recognition Awards, International
Presidents Medal, International Leadership Medal, and 100% Governor’s Award.
PDG Suzy is a Grand Lion and a progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.
She serves as Host Committee Protocol Officer and Recording
Secretary for the 2012 Usa/Canada Lions Leadership Forum.
Lion Suzy is proud that she is a 2nd-generation Lion and that her brother
and daughter are also Lions.
