Council Chair
Council Chair C. David Lloyd

Lion C. David Lloyd is the MD-35 Council Chair for the 2010-2011 Council of Governors, and was District 35-R Governor for 2009-2010. He has served in all club officer positions, was a Zone Chairperson, and served as Cabinet Secretary, District Newsletter Editor, and District Webmaster for five consecutive years.

Council Chair David is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a Grand Lion of the Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind. He is the recipient of two International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, four Golden Chain Awards, the Governor’s Achievement Award, two club Anchor Awards, a Club Presidents Excellence Award, and four 100% Club Secretary Awards.

Lion David also serves as Secretary of the Florida Lions Foundation Board of Directors for 2010-2011. He previously served for six years on the Board of Directors of the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research.

David is a retired intelligence officer and field chief for the National Security Agency and recently retired as Administrative Dean of the Community Church College in Sun City Center.

Council Chair David and his Partner-in-Service, Carolyn Sorg, reside in Rockledge, Florida, and are members of the Viera Lions Club.
