NORMAN E. CARPENTER Lion Norman E. Carpenter was elected District 35-F Vice District Governor at the district convention on March 30, 2007. Vice District Governor Carpenter became a Lion in 1973 when he joined the Sarasota lions club. Lion Norman served in many offices within the club including serving as President. He served District 35-R as Leo Chair while a member of Sarasota Lions Club. After moving to Tallahassee Lion Norman transferred his membership to the Tallahassee Lions Club and served as the Project Committee Chair and for 4 years as the Treasurer. Lion Norman served District 35-F as Zone Chairman and as Cabinet Treasurer in 2003-2004. He also served as a Director of the Florida Lions Camp. Vice District Governor Carpenter is a Life Member of the Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind, a Mel Carver Fellow of the Florida Lions Camp and a Melvin Jones Fellow. Lion Norman and his wife Jessie live in Tallahassee.
