District Governor Jessie Carpenter started her adventures into Lionism in Sarasota Florida in 1977 as a member of the Sarasota Lions Auxiliary. She was a member for two years before becoming the Charter President of the Sarasota Lioness Club. While she was a member of the Sarasota Lioness Club she served as President, Treasurer, and Director for 3 years, and a member with perfect attendance for six years. Lion Jessie has been a member of the Tallahassee Lions Club for the past three years. She served as Zone Chairman in 2008-2009. She is a Certified Guiding Lion, and helped the Jefferson County Lions Club become Chartered in June, 2009. District Governor Jessie is married to Past District Governor Norm Carpenter. DG Jessie and PDG Norman have been married for forty years. |
