District Governor C. David Lloyd

Lion C. David Lloyd was elected to the position of District Governor at the Multiple District Convention in May 2009 and is a member of the Sun City Center Lions Club.

DG David has served as club president, vice-president, secretary, treasurer, tail twister, director, bulletin editor, and as a Zone Chairperson. From 2003-2008 he served as the District 35-R Cabinet Secretary, Editor of the district newsletter, and district Information Technology Chairperson and Webmaster.

DG David is a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, the recipient of two International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, and a Grand Lion of the Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind. He has earned three Golden Chain awards, the Governor’s Achievement Award, two club Anchor Awards, a club Presidents Excellence Award, and four 100% Club Secretary Awards.

DG David has served on the Board of Directors of the Lions Eye Institute for Transplant and Research since 2003, including two years as Secretary, and two years as Vice-Chairman. He has been a director of the Florida Lions Foundation for the Blind since 2007 and is the foundation’s webmaster and newsletter editor. He is the Vice Chairman of the 2009-2010 Council of Governors.

DG David is a retired intelligence officer and field chief for the National Security Agency. He currently is the Administrative Dean of the Community Church College in Sun City Center.
